What kind of prayers are you praying?

James 1:6 and 7 - But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing from the Lord.

So you have be spending a lot of time in prayer. You have spent hours every day crying out to the Lord. But what kind of prayers are they? Hebrews 11:6 says that without faith it is impossible to please Him.

What kind of prayers are you sowing? Are they pleading with the Lord, or are they prayers of faith. The results of your prayer will soon reveal which kind of prayer you are offering up. Well it means that you will have to be praying in faith.

So the question is how to pray in faith. To understand this you need to understand what faith is. Many people see faith as just trust in the Lord. So they think that asking the Lord for something in prayer is faith.

Faith is a lot more than that. Faith involves believing, and specifically believing God's Word. The Greek word translated as 'believe' in the New Testament is a word that means amongst other things, "to be fully convinced of something." So to exercise faith, you need to be fully convinced that God's Word is true.

To pray in faith then, means to be fully convinced that God will give you what you are praying for. When you ask for something, what is the picture in your mind? Do you see the Lord giving you that which you asked, or do you see yourself not having what you asked for?

If you are praying for healing, do you see yourself lying in bed or healed and getting on with your life? If you are praying for financial provision, do you see yourself in debts or finances in your hand to take care of your needs?

You need to begin to picture yourself with what you ask for. If you are asking the Lord for a car, you need to begin see it in your garage. Whatever you are praying you need to see it, picture yourself with it and continue to confess the scriptures that pertain to your situation.
As you keep the picture of what you are expecting from the Lord in your mind , it will motivate you to push through , even when there is no sign of it. Continue to give God praise and thanks for what you are praying for, even though it has not yet
manifested.

Amen my friend. Amen. Sometimes even though we pray for things God sometimes does not give us what we are asking for. When this happens we should simply say ,"okay Lord you know what is best for me" and not get upset and mad at Him. This is a lesson I have had to learn. Blessings!

i heard a teacher once say, Do we believe IN God or do we believe God.. There is a big difference. I believe God and I believe His word. If He says ask anything in my name and i will give unto you,I believe His words.. So i will ask and believe that what i ask for i will recieve.. Good Word Gi..

Good post Gi. I once heard my pastor say that...faith defies logic, faith is always criticized, and faith is always rewarded! God's Word is truth, and no matter what happens or how long it takes...it will come to pass! Good writing my friend! God bless!

I love you and I love the way you treat the subject of faith,

The Bible says without faith it s impossible to please Him, and we all know what faith is so . . . anyone who has an ear will listen to these words and keep them in Jesus Mighty Name

"Poor, pitiful me" means nothing to the One who suffered all of our sins and pains. Not because He doesn't care, but because He's already done what it takes for us to get over ourselves. What Jesus wants to hear is "I accept grace." He wants to hear "I believe Christ has reconciled me with the Father and that the Father has already met all my needs."

I'm a walking miracle and a child of God, how can I pray like a beggar or whine like an outcast? God forgive me.

Repentance is a God given opportunity to enter into the blessings of the Lord and escape from the oppression of the enemy.
If you haven't ask Jesus into your heart as Savior and asked Him to forgive you of your sins, it is as simple as following these steps:

1) ADMIT YOU HAVE SINNED. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

2) BELIEVE IN JESUS. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

3) CONFESS AND LEAVE YOUR SIN. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)
