Out Live Your Life

Outlive Your Life You Were Made to Make a Difference By Max Lucado is an inspiring and life changing book. This book just forces you take a deeper look at your life, forcing you to think about how you can use your life to be of help. Despite the difficult times we find ourself in we must understand that we were created to make a difference and use the opportunities that come our way to do just that

We all want our lives to have purpose and meaning and we can achieve this by helping others. Outlive Your Life shows us exactly that and tells us what we need to do to achieve it. We all have choices in life and we all have different talents and abilities to help others. An important question in this book is, "are we using those gifts from God?"

Max uses the book of Acts to build this book on, wonderful. I was impressed with the way this book was written, Max has done it again. I highly recommend this book to anyone.

Cast Of Characters

Cast Of Characters - Common People In The Hands Of An Uncommon God by Max Lucado is an enjoyable book that is based on biblical characters. These characters are ordinary people God used to do extraordinary things. As you read this book these characters will grab your attention and you will come to realize that the same struggles they were faced with then, are the same ones facing us today. Even though these bible characters are from so long ago we can see the relevance in today's modern world.

These are people who have stumbled and struggled just the same way we do today, and rescued by the same God that rescues us. Max uses these characters to show us that despite our trials and tribulations and flaws, their is a God who cares and is concerned about us. A God of hope we can turn to, one that we can put our trust and faith in. One who will show us the light at the end of the tunnel.

This was an easy to read book, Max has a way of writing that grabs your attention and at the same time convey great biblical truths. I especially like the discussion and review questions at the end of the chapters. This is an enjoyable book for everyone and I highly recommend it for those going through struggles and fell like there is no end to their situation.

You Can Be Everything God Wants You To Be

You Can Be Everything God wants You To Be by Max Lucado.

I have just finished reading, You Can Be Everything God Wants You To Be by Max Lucado,Wow!.It was an easy read, guiding you step by step on how to find out what you were made for, what you were meant to be and how to fulfill it. This book talks about your unique gifts and abilities, discovering you. Finding your "Sweet spot" as Max calls it. You will discover that God made only one of you and nobody can duplicate you, no one can do anything just the way you do it. all they would be is a cheap carbon copy of the original.

I was very impressed with the way the book was written, the chapters were short and flowed smoothly into each other, also the appropriate scripture references were quoted so that you can go back to the Bible and read what it says. This book was recommended for Graduates which is a very good idea for someone just stepping out but I would also recommend it to anyone who is still searching and feels like they have not done anything in their life or still don't know what they are supposed to do in life.
By just applying these guidelines that Max Lucado has written in this book, you can stop living a life without true purpose so that you can indeed be everything God wants you to be. Until you find God's purpose for your life you haven't lived, and until you fulfill it you're not ready to die.

The Language of Love & Respect

The Language of Love & Respect; Cracking The Communication Code With Your Mate by Dr. Emerson Eggerich

The Language of Love & Respect, Cracking the Communication Code With Your Mate by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs is a must read for anyone in a relationship or someone struggling in their marriage. Its a great book and takes an in depth look at how men and women communicate differently. Because men and women are wired differently couples often blow up when they don't exactly understand what is being communicated. By the end of the book you will come to understand that every couple faces the problem of communicating and you will learn how to decode the languages they speak. Dr Emerson does this with an emphasis on biblical principles.

Dr Emerson uses simple language to make his advice clear, he does it in such a way that you will learn how to speak to your spouse without disrespecting them. What I like very much about this book is that it gives you practical ways of communicating with your mate. We have all been at been at the place where we have been misunderstood, so if you are struggling in your marriage right now and looking for ways to improve it then this is the book for you, it is practical and inspiring.

Repentance is a God given opportunity to enter into the blessings of the Lord and escape from the oppression of the enemy.
If you haven't ask Jesus into your heart as Savior and asked Him to forgive you of your sins, it is as simple as following these steps:

1) ADMIT YOU HAVE SINNED. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

2) BELIEVE IN JESUS. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

3) CONFESS AND LEAVE YOUR SIN. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)

About Me

My photo
A Christian who loves to write about christian living, spiritual health and self improvement. I pray daily that the love and grace of God will be poured out through my life to others, so that those who are in bondage can be delivered and the captives set free. I remind myself daily that whether or not I have "witnessed" I am still a witness in everything I do.
