Stand against fear

SCRIPTURES TO USE TO  STAND AGAINST FEAR

1. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. (Isaiah 41:10, NLT).

2. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV).

3. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment… (1 John 4:18, NKJV).

4. Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for The LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6, NKJV).

5. The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1, NKJV).

6. I sought The LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears (Psalm 34:4, NKJV).
`
7. Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame (Isaiah 54:4, NKJV).

8. Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom (Luke 12:32, NKJV).

Stand Up and Step Out

Now, when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a draught. (Luke 5:4)

You have been serving God but you seem not to be making any progress, you need to make a decision, you can stay where you are for the next several years and remain in your misery or you can launch out into the deep.

Simon had fished all night and had caught nothing, he was despondent, but nevertheless at Jesus' command, he let down his net. Many of us have found ourselves in the same situation Simon was in, he launched out into the deep, what are you going to do, are you going to obey Jesus' command?

You know for sometime God has been speaking to you about launching out into missions, into ministering to youths, into full time ministry or what ever he has been speaking to you about.

You have been fishing all night but you still haven't caught anything, the truth is you are not going to catch anything because you are in the wrong place, taking up somebody else's place, because you are walking in disobedience.
.
Because you can't see into the future you are afraid to launch out. God is saying step out of your comfort zone and step into the faith zone and let your faith propel you forward. The Christian life is a faith life

You can't go with God and remain where you are at the same time, things are changing around you, but yet you hold back because of fear you are afraid to step out. Its time to do and time to go where you have never ventured before.

In the natural its easy to get discouraged, its hard to walk by faith, but believers are not supposed to walk in the flesh, you can't be a coward or a quitter. Time is passing you by, all you have to do is to begin to see what God is showing you through the eyes of faith and act.

Jesus told his disciples, if you have faith like the grain of a mustard seed, you could tell the mountain to be removed and it would obey you .The mustard seed is a very tiny seed, Jesus was telling his disciples the size of their faith was not the problem and likewise you don't need more faith , you need to exercise what you already have

So take a step of faith and launch out into what the Lord has told you. Keep your eyes on him and begin to see things around you change for your good

The Deciding Witness

In the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.              – Matthew 18:16

You've been there many times, standing in the valley of decision. Perched precariously between victory and defeat. On one side of you is the word of the world authored by Satan that says, for example, "You're not going to get healed." On the other side of you, the Word of God is saying, "My Word is yea and amen" and "By whose stripes, ye were healed" (1 Peter 2:24). Who will determine how it all turns out? You will. You're the establishing witness.
I remember a fellow once who wanted me to pray for him. I said, "Now the Word says you're healed." He interrupted me and said, "Yeah, I know it says that, but I've got this terrible pain here...."
I looked him in the eye and said again, "The Word says, 'By His stripes, you were healed.'"

"I know it," he answered, "but I've got this terrible...."
I shook my head. "Listen, the Word says you're healed!"
He turned beet red. "I know it says that, but I've got this...."
Finally, he stopped and stared at me. He didn't realize it, but he'd allowed his physical symptoms to become his evidence. It was what he believed. No matter what the Word said, he believed the thing he could see and feel.
But when he got quiet, I said to him, "Look, you're wanting me to agree with you and you're mad because I won't. But if I agree with you, you're going to die. Now if you'll agree with me and the Bible, we can get you healed."
Suddenly he saw it. His eyes lit up. "Oh, praise God! I see what you mean. I agree with the Word of God!"
I put my hands on his head and God healed him instantly.
You see, when he finally decided to get in agreement with God, he could have received in his bedroom or driving down the road or anywhere else. He could have received any time he decided to become the establishing witness.
You pray and establish your witness. That's your part. If you'll do it, God will back you—and when He backs you, everything else either has to get in line or get out of the way.
You're the deciding witness. What do you say?

Hope in Jesus, the problem solver

John 2: 1-11

1And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:
And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.
And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.
Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.
When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,
10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

From this story, we see that Jesus, His mother, and His disciples all attended a wedding that took        place in Cana in Galilee.  In this story, the host of the party did the unthinkable--he ran out of wine.  So Mary, the mother of our Lord told Jesus of the predicament expecting Him to do something about it.

Steps to breaking Generational curses

In order to be set free and remain free you have to admit that their is a problem in your life
We are where we are because of the choices we have made in the past, and it is our responsibility to deal with them.  We therefore then need to apply God's word in our lives. As we begin to walk in obedience to the word, yolks and chains will be broken.

There are steps to breaking a generational curse:
  1.  Give your life to Jesus; the blood of Jesus removes all sin.
  2.  Fight the battle with spiritual weapons that is the Word of God, stop all negativity, confess what the word says.
  3. Take back control over your life, walk in love and obedience

There are also keys you can use to reverse the curse and live in victory.

1.  Recognize who is the real  enemy. We battle not with flesh and blood. Our enemy is Satan, and the battle is a spiritual one.
2. Forgive people who have hurt you.
3. Treat causes, not symptoms, fear,  hatred etc.

A sudden storm

 Matthew 8:23–26 NIV
Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

It is interesting that the storm came “without warning.” but it was no surprise to Jesus, he knew what was coming that night. We often go through seasons in our lives when it seems like the Lord is asleep because nothing seems to be happening on the spiritual front.

You see God never leaves us, He is always there but there are times when He allows things to happen to strengthen us, He uses situations and storms in our life to draw us closer to Him and bring us to maturity. We want Jesus to calm the storm, but He wants us to find Him in the midst of it.

Get rid of the Frogs

Exodus 8:1-13 Have you ever wrestled with a situation that stubbornly refuses to go away? It seems to be immune to everything. You hit at the thing in every way, but instead of being eliminated, it expands and multiplies until it's completely out of control. Pharaoh faced that kind of situation, the Bible says that he was in dispute with God over the future of the Israelites, and as a result of that dispute, he woke up one morning to find his country swarming with frogs. creepy, smelly, slimy frogs hopping all over the place.

It was a serious situation. I'm not talking about a frog or two in the yard. I mean frogs were everywhere—in their beds, on their tables. Frogs in the bathroom, frogs in the food and the drinking water.Frogs in their hair. Frogs, frogs everywhere. Then God sent Moses in to Pharaoh to ask, "When shall I entreat the Lord to get these frogs out of here?" Do you know what Pharaoh said? "Tomorrow"

Can you imagine that? He could have said, "Right now! Today!" But instead he decided he would spend one more night among the frogs. You say, "That's the stupidest thing you ever heard. Why in the world would he say tomorrow?" I don't know. Probably for the same reason you want to wait until tomorrow to get rid of your problem. To get saved or healed or delivered. Here's what I want you to notice. When Moses asked Pharaoh that question and he answered, "Tomorrow," Moses said, "All right. So that you know there's a God in heaven, be it done according to your words."

Let me ask you this: How long are you willing to let that persisting situation control your life? When are you going to get rid of the frogs in your life? Do you realize they'll stay around as long as you'll let them? They'll be there until you finally make a conscious decision to go with the Word of God and get rid of them. Why don't you do it today?

You are what the Word says you are. You can do what the Word says you can do. You can have what the Word says you can have. Begin to believe that. Begin to say it out loud in faith

Defeat your Giant

Who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?
– 1 Samuel 17:26
You may be facing a giant today. He may be a giant of sickness or failure, of financial shortage or another kind of trouble. But don’t let him scare you. You have a secret weapon. A weapon that once turned a shepherd boy into a bear-busting, lion-killing, giant-slaying champion. That weapon was a blood covenant with Almighty God.
Back in David’s day, circumcision was the sign of that covenant. So, when he called Goliath uncircumcised, David was saying: “This guy may be a giant; he may be strong; but he has no covenant with God and that’s why I will defeat him.”
Just like David, you, too, have a covenant. But yours is better. You see, the covenant David had, offered a wealth of blessings to those who kept it, but it also included curses for those who broke it.
Yours doesn’t. Yours is a new covenant that Jesus bought with His own blood. It doesn’t depend on your ability. It depends on Him and what He has already done. He has done it all! All you have to do is believe it and receive it.
Right now, read Deuteronomy 28:16-68. That’s a list of the curses Christ has freed you from. You might even call it a list of the giants Jesus has already slain for you. It contains every diabolical thing the devil could ever use to destroy you.
Read them and rejoice. Those are the things God has healed you of and delivered you from!
Don’t let any giant intimidate you. You have a blood covenant with Almighty God. There’s no uncircumcised circumstance on the face of this earth that can take your victory away from you.

Prayers for healing and health

Lord Jesus Christ, please forgive me for spiritual blocks to healing: unforgiveness, ignorance or lack of knowledge, no relationship with God according to knowledge, personal and family sins, not having faith in God, the need to see a miracle, looking for signs and wonders, expecting god to heal on one’s own terms, looking to man rather than God, not being honest and transparent, flagrant sin or habitual sin, robbing God in tithes and offerings, sin of our parents, looking to symptoms and not to the Healer, letting fear enter your heart, failure to get away in prayer and fasting, improper care of the body, not discerning the Lord’s Body, touching God’s anointed leaders, immoderate eating, pure unbelief, failing to keep our life filled up with God, not resisting the enemy, just giving up, looking for repeated healings instead of divine health, rejecting healing in the Atonement as part of the covenant for today, trying to bypass the penalty of the curse, murmuring and complaining, hating and not obeying instruction.

You are what the Word says you are. You can do what the Word says you can do. You can have what the Word says you can have. Begin to believe that. Begin to say it out loud in faith
Repentance is a God given opportunity to enter into the blessings of the Lord and escape from the oppression of the enemy.
If you haven't ask Jesus into your heart as Savior and asked Him to forgive you of your sins, it is as simple as following these steps:

1) ADMIT YOU HAVE SINNED. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

2) BELIEVE IN JESUS. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

3) CONFESS AND LEAVE YOUR SIN. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)

About Me

My photo
A Christian who loves to write about christian living, spiritual health and self improvement. I pray daily that the love and grace of God will be poured out through my life to others, so that those who are in bondage can be delivered and the captives set free. I remind myself daily that whether or not I have "witnessed" I am still a witness in everything I do.
