Give the best gift
The reason we can celebrate Christmas by the giving of gifts, is that God Himself gave the very first gift - the most important and precious gift in the person of Jesus. The gift our heavenly Father gave, provides salvation for mankind. When he gave that gift, he gave what was most precious to him, a very part of himself, his only begotten Son.The greatest thing about this is that this gift is free, you do not have to do anything to earn it,.such amazing love. His love transcends everything this world can ever offer or show. In return God reaped an incredible harvest and is still reaping today.
In this season of gift giving we can give many gifts, but all God expects from us is that we take the gift that has been freely given to us and share it, not only at Christmas but all the year through.. Many times we do not have enough money to buy the gifts we would like to, no problem give The Gift , it is the best gift you can give to any one this Christmas. Its not a gift they can return if they don't like it, its free.
Wishing you all my friends and visitors a Christ centered Christmas. May you celebrate this season with love in your home, joy in your word and peace in your heart.
I am looking forward to a short time of rest this week until the New Year.It is the only time I get a chance to take a well deserved break from the work of the ministry, and I recommend that you try to do the same, because the Lord has some wonderful things in store for us in the next year as we press forward together in His Presence to take the world for Him
Bless you all.
Gi

How you can be led by the spirit of God
How You Can be Led By The Spirit of God by Kenneth Hagin
"Have you ever asked yourself, was that me or was it God?" If so this book is for you.
In these times that we are living, where there are so many voices speaking, it is imperative for us to know whether its the leading of the Holy spirit, the flesh, the world or the enemy vying for our attention. This book is about helping you to focus on the Holy Spirit in every area of your life.
Perhaps the greatest challenge we face as Spirit-filled believers is learning to accurately distinguish the leading of the Holy spirit. Its not easy but it is necessary. To abide in the Lord and maintain and maintain a connection with Him, we must hear and obey Him
Proverbs 20:27 says 'The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly. If you are born again the Spirit of God is living and abiding in your spirit God will guide us through our spirits. However many times we seek guidance by other means and when we do that we get into trouble. This is the reason many Christians are up and down, they don't walk by their faith they walk by their feelings. We often judge how God is leading by what our physical senses tells us, but the word says He will guide us through our spirit. Romans 8:16 says "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
We relate to God because of who He is in us , not because of others, not because of our emotions, not because we feel saved, not because we have ascended to greatness through our intellect – but because of what He has done in us.
This book differentiates between the spirit and the soul and the various ways you can be led by the spirit. Be it by an inward witness, the inward voice or the voice of the Holy spirit.

The Miracle of Christmas
Eugene L Clark is a man who discovered that "nothing is impossible". Blind and bedridden with crippling arthritis, Eugene did not allow his handicaps to diminish his service for God. He composed and arranged music by dictating each song, note by note and word by word into a dictating machine. He has written 3 cantatas and nearly 200 songs during his illness. Eugene wrote "My Hope" a book of inspiring poems which express his faith in God and his concern for the lost of which the following were taken from
The Miracle of Christmas by Eugene Clark
Many were the miracles
That night of Jesus' birth
The wonders in the eastern sky,
The signs upon the earth.
Mary was a miracle
By prophets long foretold:
A virgin bringing forth a Son,
Amazing to behold!
But the miracle of Miracles,The wonder of it all,
Was not the virgin Mary,
The stable and the stall;
It was that God himself had come,Incarnate as a child,
That God and sinful man might be
Forever reconciled.
Angels from the realms on high
To lowly shepherds came,
Proclaiming peace, goodwill to men.
and glory to His name
wise men saw the star appear,
Announcing Christ the King;
To guide them on their journey west,
Their precious gifts to bring.
But the miracle of miracles
was not the eastern star,
The angels near to Bethlehem,
Or wise men from afar;
It was that God himself had come,
Incarnate as a child,
That God and sinful man might be
Forever reconciled.
The Keeper of the Inn
Long years ago in Bethlehem
The keeper of the inn,
For Joseph, Mary and the Babe,
Would make no room within.
He bolted fast the wooden door
And made them go away
Into a bedless stable, where
They slept upon the hay.
Now you are keeper of the inn,
And Jesus stands outside;
The latchstring hangs inside the door.
Will you let Him inside?
Once Jesus came in human flesh
To die for all our sin.
Now He in spirit comes to man,
And asks us to enter in.
Now you are keeper of the inn
The inn which is your heart.
The choice is yours to ask him in.
Or bid him to depart.
O Jesus, come in human flesh
To save us from our sin,
I gladly open wide the door,
Come now and enter in.

Have you met Mary's Boy
Have you met Mary's boy? He is the most important person you will ever meet. When you come into contact with Him, He is going to make a difference in your life. His name is Jesus, and He is the reason for this season
Matthew 2:11-12 says "They entered the house and saw the child with his mother,Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Christmas is a very special time of year. It's a time when we celebrate the birth of Jesus and all He has done for us, a time when we celebrate family. Its a time when the whole world is hearing the message of Jesus. It's a time when people are tenderhearted, bringing gifts and showing their love and. appreciation, but at the same time while we are enjoying the holiday goodies and parties, getting caught up in the hectic rush we need to remember who is the reason for the season.
While you are out there this Christmas extending love to those in need, take the opportunity to tell someone about Jesus, the one that Christmas is all about. Introduce them to Mary's boy. They might not have all that they want this season, but you can give them the best gift ever, Jesus. Everything else fades into comparison. Its strange how we want to celebrate Christmas without Jesus Christ
As we share this special season together, I would like you to know how much you are loved . I pray that you will be touched, encouraged and strengthened in your faith.
My prayer is that you will receive all the good things the Lord has in store for you, I am expecting you to be blessed not only this season but all through the year.

Monday Readings - Winning The Heart Of God
Winning The Heart Of God by Robb Thompson
This book explores what it means to be a person after God's own heart, it challenges us in the areas of submission and loyalty. God is searching for people with perfect hearts, people who are committed and loyal. These are the people who have learned to respond to every situation from God's perspective and thereby win the heart of God
2 Chronicles:9 says "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro the heart throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong on behalf of them whose heart is perfect towards him." God found himself such a man by the name of David.
In Acts 13:22 God called David a man after his own heart. What does that mean the word after in the Greek means to resemble, to follow, to be in pursuit of, to aspire and to desire to be like. David as a man who aspired to be like God, he wanted everything in his life to reflect God. Because of this God was able to use David in a mighty way.
Many Christians want God to use them today in a mighty way and they sincerely believe that they are doing what God told them even they are living outside of God's command. Such was the case of King Saul, when the prophet Samuel confronted him. Samuel said to Saul, if you obeyed God's instructions completely what is this bleating of sheep and and lowing of oxen that I hear. Of course King Saul had his excuse, just like many Christians they always have an excuse.
But Samuel told him because you disobeyed the word of the Lord God has rejected you as King over Israel. When we get caught in our wrongdoing we always want to do what we can to get out of the sticky situation, but seldom is there a change in the heart, its only outward. Luke 6 says why do you call me Lord, Lord and do not do the things which I say. That is not what God is looking for.
Psalms 51 says against you, you only have I sinned...
Every sin that is committed is ultimately against God, when you rebel, you rebel against God, every disobedience, and doing things your own way is revolting against God.God is not only looking for submission but he is also looking for loyalty.
God requires loyalty according to Proverbs 19:22, and in Micah 6:8 we are told God requires his people to do what is right, to love mercy and to walk humbly before God. We all want other people to be loyal, we look for loyalty in our relationships but how much are we willing to give back. In the same way God is looking for loyalty from us. Can we say that we are loyal to man and most of all to God?

If you haven't ask Jesus into your heart as Savior and asked Him to forgive you of your sins, it is as simple as following these steps:
1) ADMIT YOU HAVE SINNED. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
2) BELIEVE IN JESUS. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
3) CONFESS AND LEAVE YOUR SIN. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)

About Me
- A Christian who loves to write about christian living, spiritual health and self improvement. I pray daily that the love and grace of God will be poured out through my life to others, so that those who are in bondage can be delivered and the captives set free. I remind myself daily that whether or not I have "witnessed" I am still a witness in everything I do.
