Stand against fear

SCRIPTURES TO USE TO  STAND AGAINST FEAR

1. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. (Isaiah 41:10, NLT).

2. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV).

3. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment… (1 John 4:18, NKJV).

4. Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for The LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6, NKJV).

5. The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1, NKJV).

6. I sought The LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears (Psalm 34:4, NKJV).

Stand Up and Step Out

Now, when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a draught. (Luke 5:4)

You have been serving God but you seem not to be making any progress, you need to make a decision, you can stay where you are for the next several years and remain in your misery or you can launch out into the deep.

Simon had fished all night and had caught nothing, he was despondent, but nevertheless at Jesus' command, he let down his net. Many of us have found ourselves in the same situation Simon was in, he launched out into the deep, what are you going to do, are you going to obey Jesus' command?

You know for sometime God has been speaking to you about launching out into missions, into ministering to youths, into full time ministry or what ever he has been speaking to you about.

You have been fishing all night but you still haven't caught anything, the truth is you are not going to catch anything because you are in the wrong place, taking up somebody else's place, because you are walking in disobedience.
.
Because you can't see into the future you are afraid to launch out. God is saying step out of your comfort zone and step into the faith zone and let your faith propel you forward. The Christian life is a faith life

You can't go with God and remain where you are at the same time, things are changing around you, but yet you hold back because of fear you are afraid to step out. Its time to do and time to go where you have never ventured before.

In the natural its easy to get discouraged, its hard to walk by faith, but believers are not supposed to walk in the flesh, you can't be a coward or a quitter. Time is passing you by, all you have to do is to begin to see what God is showing you through the eyes of faith and act.

Jesus told his disciples, if you have faith like the grain of a mustard seed, you could tell the mountain to be removed and it would obey you .The mustard seed is a very tiny seed, Jesus was telling his disciples the size of their faith was not the problem and likewise you don't need more faith , you need to exercise what you already have

So take a step of faith and launch out into what the Lord has told you. Keep your eyes on him and begin to see things around you change for your good

The Deciding Witness

In the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.              – Matthew 18:16

You've been there many times, standing in the valley of decision. Perched precariously between victory and defeat. On one side of you is the word of the world authored by Satan that says, for example, "You're not going to get healed." On the other side of you, the Word of God is saying, "My Word is yea and amen" and "By whose stripes, ye were healed" (1 Peter 2:24). Who will determine how it all turns out? You will. You're the establishing witness.
I remember a fellow once who wanted me to pray for him. I said, "Now the Word says you're healed." He interrupted me and said, "Yeah, I know it says that, but I've got this terrible pain here...."
I looked him in the eye and said again, "The Word says, 'By His stripes, you were healed.'"

"I know it," he answered, "but I've got this terrible...."
I shook my head. "Listen, the Word says you're healed!"
He turned beet red. "I know it says that, but I've got this...."
Finally, he stopped and stared at me. He didn't realize it, but he'd allowed his physical symptoms to become his evidence. It was what he believed. No matter what the Word said, he believed the thing he could see and feel.
But when he got quiet, I said to him, "Look, you're wanting me to agree with you and you're mad because I won't. But if I agree with you, you're going to die. Now if you'll agree with me and the Bible, we can get you healed."
Suddenly he saw it. His eyes lit up. "Oh, praise God! I see what you mean. I agree with the Word of God!"
I put my hands on his head and God healed him instantly.
You see, when he finally decided to get in agreement with God, he could have received in his bedroom or driving down the road or anywhere else. He could have received any time he decided to become the establishing witness.
You pray and establish your witness. That's your part. If you'll do it, God will back you—and when He backs you, everything else either has to get in line or get out of the way.
You're the deciding witness. What do you say?

Repentance is a God given opportunity to enter into the blessings of the Lord and escape from the oppression of the enemy.
If you haven't ask Jesus into your heart as Savior and asked Him to forgive you of your sins, it is as simple as following these steps:

1) ADMIT YOU HAVE SINNED. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

2) BELIEVE IN JESUS. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

3) CONFESS AND LEAVE YOUR SIN. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)

About Me

My photo
A Christian who loves to write about christian living, spiritual health and self improvement. I pray daily that the love and grace of God will be poured out through my life to others, so that those who are in bondage can be delivered and the captives set free. I remind myself daily that whether or not I have "witnessed" I am still a witness in everything I do.
