Are you chained or anchored

Judges 16: 18-21 18 And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand. 19 And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand. 20 And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him. 21 But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.

Chained means to be bound to something.
Anchored means to be secured to,something that will prevent you from drifting.
If you own a boat and you will drop anchor in order to get whatever you need to be done. When you drift it causes you move from where you want to be to some place you don’t want to.

Although you might not be physically bound with chains like Samson , you might be bound financially, emotionally, mentally. You feel like you are in an emotional cycle. You are at a place where you are unable to see. You struggle and try to break free, held a captive, you are broken, crushed, strongholds weighing you down, you feel hopeless and fail to understand that the price for your freedom has already been paid in full.

2 Corinthians 10: 4-5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. 5 Casting down imaginations, and everything that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

If you find yourself in chains today, living with strongholds, held a captive, you need to first acknowledge that you are bound. A lot of people live in denial. Believe there is something better for your life, confess any sin that may have caused you to be where you are today. Determine a course of action you are going to take, call on Jesus only Him can fix your troubles.

What kind of chains do you have?
Are you chained by the enemy or anchored in God. There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain. Declare your freedom, no more shackles, no more chains, no more bondage.

No comments:

Repentance is a God given opportunity to enter into the blessings of the Lord and escape from the oppression of the enemy.
If you haven't ask Jesus into your heart as Savior and asked Him to forgive you of your sins, it is as simple as following these steps:

1) ADMIT YOU HAVE SINNED. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

2) BELIEVE IN JESUS. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

3) CONFESS AND LEAVE YOUR SIN. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)

About Me

My photo
A Christian who loves to write about christian living, spiritual health and self improvement. I pray daily that the love and grace of God will be poured out through my life to others, so that those who are in bondage can be delivered and the captives set free. I remind myself daily that whether or not I have "witnessed" I am still a witness in everything I do.
