Monday Readings - The Believer's Authority

The Believer's Authority by Kenneth Hagin

This book is a classic, I never get tired of reading it. Whenever I don't have a book to read I pick this one up and it never fails to minister to me. It reminds me of the authority I have as a believer.

Authority is power delegate to someone, and in our case as believers we have been given authority, to deal with the enemy. We have not been called to pray to God about the devil, we are to exercise our authority that has been given to us

Luke 10:19 says "Behold I give unto you power (authority) to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the powers of the enemy.
We have been given authority over the enemy, and we need to understand that because we have been delegated authority, we have someone backing us and we need not be afraid of the enemy. All authority that was given to Christ belongs to us through Him, so when we pray for the sick we are exercising authority over the enemy.

Ephesians 6:12 says for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
But we can thank God that we have authority over these evil spirits through Jesus Christ.
Our fight with the devil should be with the understanding that we have authority over him because he is already defeated, Jesus defeated him for us

We need to always remember that in our battle against the enemy, that we are above them and have the authority over them
As long as the devil can keep us in unbelief we will not get your victory. we cannot move by what we see or feel.
We have to be moved by what the word says. Its all about what you believe.

I have this book too - it is a great one! I think we would be much better off if we really understood the power and authority we have in Christ. Great post!

I agree with Tracy...we really, really have to understand the authority we have in the name Jesus. We need to tap into that power.

Repentance is a God given opportunity to enter into the blessings of the Lord and escape from the oppression of the enemy.
If you haven't ask Jesus into your heart as Savior and asked Him to forgive you of your sins, it is as simple as following these steps:

1) ADMIT YOU HAVE SINNED. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

2) BELIEVE IN JESUS. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

3) CONFESS AND LEAVE YOUR SIN. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)

A Christian who loves to write about christian living, spiritual health and self improvement. I pray daily that the love and grace of God will be poured out through my life to others, so that those who are in bondage can be delivered and the captives set free. I remind myself daily that whether or not I have "witnessed" I am still a witness in everything I do.
