Let Your Roots Go Deep

This is what the Lord says:
Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord. They are like stunted shrubs in the desert with no hope for the future. They live in the barren wilderness, in an uninhabited salty land.
But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is in the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its root by the river, and will not fear when heat comes or worried by the months of drought. Their leaves stay green and never cease from yielding fruit. (Jeremiah 17:5-8)

How is your spiritual walk?
Are you feeling empty, thirsty, dry like their is a famine in your life, not producing any fruit.Perhaps you have allowed yourself to become a leaky vessel, you are broken, you feel stunted with no hope for the future.

God is calling you today to go deeper, He is calling you back to a place where you begin to hunger and thirst for Him, where nothing seems to satisfy you.
Its time to bring your dreams and vision to the forefront again.

He wants you to let your roots go deep so that when the drought comes you will remain rooted and grounded , you will not wither and die, you will not faint and give up as many Christians are today.

Begin to go deep in the word and prayer and as you do that there comes an abiding, an overflowing. As you go deeper with Him you will begin to affect things around you and that is what God is looking for because a flood affects everything in its path

God is looking for people who would say my soul follows close behind you.
You have to begin to get desperate like Jacob, become a God clinger and refuse to let go until there is change.

Beautiful and Amen! I am so thirsty and hungry for God's Word. I want to be that tree which is firmly planted by the waters edge. I love the Lord and can not imagine (nor do I want to) my life without Him! I am so grateful to Jesus for changing me each and every day. Great writing my friend! God bless!

Repentance is a God given opportunity to enter into the blessings of the Lord and escape from the oppression of the enemy.
If you haven't ask Jesus into your heart as Savior and asked Him to forgive you of your sins, it is as simple as following these steps:

1) ADMIT YOU HAVE SINNED. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

2) BELIEVE IN JESUS. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

3) CONFESS AND LEAVE YOUR SIN. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)

About Me

My photo
A Christian who loves to write about christian living, spiritual health and self improvement. I pray daily that the love and grace of God will be poured out through my life to others, so that those who are in bondage can be delivered and the captives set free. I remind myself daily that whether or not I have "witnessed" I am still a witness in everything I do.
